Please contact Scholar Gateway at office@scholar-gateway.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our teaching philosophy has always been "Students First." After determining each student's academic level, we will pick appropriate materials depending on their learning ability and conduct a variety of tasks to measure their progress.
Our sessions are often one-on-one private lessons or group lessons of two or more people.
Exercises will be provided by our teachers or derived from relevant study materials.
The first assessment will be led by one of our senior instructors, who will recommend the number of lessons the student should attend after that. The number of classes recommended is determined on the student's background and the courses they are learning.
Extra lessons may be added if there are any imminent tests or examinations. Otherwise, we recommend that students only take one 2-hour lesson per topic each week.
Students have the option of forming their own study groups.
Our Administration section is in charge of lesson scheduling and other financial issues.
We can set up flexible Zoom class schedules. Contact us to schedule a time.
Students can pay cash in person at our centre, via mail, or by transferring funds from an ATM or a bank teller. Please see the following for our banking information:
Payment Method
1) Cash
2) In person
3) FPS 5177 7324
4) Bank Transfer
New students are welcome to come to our centre and fill out an enrolling form.
Our tutors do more than simply educate students how to arrive at an answer; they also utilise questioning to encourage them to apply what they already know and then challenge them to explain their responses, resulting in increased independence.
Please contact us for more information on how we can assist children and individuals aged 6 and above to reach their full potential.
To learn more about Scholar Gateway, we always recommend scheduling a free assessment. There is no requirement to join. Before making a commitment to us, you may see how we can help your child.
All stages of education: primary, secondary, high school, and university. We cater to all levels and offer both tuition and courses in a range of study skills from critical thinking, revision to exam skills.
The purpose of the assessment is to determine the student's aims, skills, and weaknesses, as well as any unique learning styles, obstacles, or goals. Tutors will be better acquainted with their students' goals and will be able to develop an ongoing tuition program with short and long-term objectives.
We appreciate you for selecting Scholar Gateway and asking your friends, co-workers, or family members who require tutoring to kindly have their queries sent to Scholar Gateway (rather than the tutor) so that we may continue to provide a consistently high level of service.
Scholar Gateway relies on personal referrals from students and parents. We thank you for your loyalty.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice before a tutorial are subject to a fee. Any cancellations that are made between 0 and 12 hours in advance will be charged 100% of the lesson’s cost. If a session is cancelled, the Tutor will make every reasonable effort to reschedule it on a mutually suitable day/time.
If a student does not show up within 15 minutes of the lesson’s start, the lesson will be considered cancelled and will be charged in full.
Tuition fees are determined by the student's educational level and the number of students enrolled in each class. For further information, please contact us.

One of the most essential aspects of our services is the placement of students in overseas educational systems. Students are frequently required to sit for examination papers in order to get admission to the chosen school. Scholar Gateway provides the possibility for students to take their exams at our centre.
The invigilator service is free of charge and students will be able to take the exams in a calm, comfortable, friendly, and familiar atmosphere, completely isolated from the other applicants. Furthermore, the parent does not need to be concerned about the student's current school relationship. This service is contingent upon the approval from the chosen school. As well, we also provide the ISEB Computerised Common Pre-test at the centre. Dr Stephen Lam, our invigilator, personally supervises, prepares and monitors all parts of the examination. Dr Lam will schedule the exam timetable, ensuring exam conditions are adhered, and enclosure ensuring confidentiality from current schools.
Invigilation is conducted at our centre on the 10th Floor of the Eton Tower on Hysan Ave. The centre is conveniently accessible to both HK Island, Kowloon and New Territories via the MTR. Parking facilities are also available nearby. We make every effort to provide suitable examination schedules, and we are also available to invigilate on weekends and public holidays to avoid interrupting school schedules.
